To impart electrical insulating properties to a joint for a flexible tube.
A joint comprises a metal joint body 1; a composite sleeve composed of a metal piece contacting at its one end with a projection coming into a valley of a flexible tube 8 and at its other end with a nut 3 which metal piece is integrally molded with a resin cylindrical body having a claw engaging with a groove 32 in the nut 3; and the metal nut 3 which engages with the claw of the composite sleeve and has the groove 32 for holding the projection about an annular recess 14, a press face 33 to contact with a metal contact face 24 of the composite sleeve and an external thread 31 helically engaging with an internal thread 15. An insulating ring 5 coated with electrical insulating material is interposed between the metal contact face 24 and the press face 33, the composite sleeve is coated with electrical insulating material to form an insulating composite sleeve 2, and a step face 12 in the joint body 1 is fitted with an electrical insulating gasket 4.
