PURPOSE: To reduce the amount of cold air flowing out from a refrigerator and improve the energy saving or storing of food within a refrigerator by a method wherein as a door is opened, a pulse-like DC voltage is applied to a motor for a refrigerator fan for a specified period of time and then an inverter control for the refrigerator fan is stopped after a specified period of time.
CONSTITUTION: As a door of an electrical refrigerator is opened, the opened state of the door is detected by an opened door sensing circuit 9. At a control device 10, a signal B, for example, of signals A and B outputted to an inverter circuit 5 is controlled to be set to an 'L' level for a specified period of time. Then, although a power supply voltage generated by a power supply circuit 8 is switched from the inverter circuit 5, a pulse-like DC voltage is outputted through this switching operation. With such an arrangement, the pulse-like DC voltage is applied to the motor for the refrigerator fan 4 for a specified period of time from the time of opening of the door, resulting in that rotation of the motor is rapidly decreased, i.e., a certain braking is applied and the motor is stopped. When the door is opened, the rotation of the refrigerator fan 4 is rapidly stopped, so that it is possible to reduce the amount of cold air flowing out from the refrigerator.
