Title:
ELECTRICALLY CONDUCTIVE CHARGE-TRANSFER COMPLEX
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0249785
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

NEW MATERIAL:A compound synthesized by using a compound of formula (R1-R16 are H, F or cyano provided that at least two of the above groups are F or cyano and have point symmetric or line symmetric structure; M is H, metal, metal oxide or metal halide) as an electron acceptor.

USE: An electromagnetic shielding material, a conductor for high-frequency circuit, a capacitor, a switching element, a recording material, etc. It has extremely high electrical conductivity.

PREPARATION: Single crystal of the objective compound can be deposited on an anode by using the compound of formula as an electron acceptor and preferably tetrathiafulvalene or tetrathiotetracene as an electron donor, dissolving the above components in e.g., acetonitrile and passing electric current through the solution using a platinum wire as an electrode.
