Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain an electrically conductive polymer material having excellent moist-heat resistance by heat-treating a polymer material free from nitrile group in an aqueous solution containing a specific component, thereby fixing copper sulfide and a thiocyanate to the surface layer of said polymer material. CONSTITUTION:The objective electrically conductive polymer material having a copper sulfide and a thiocyanate fixed to the surface layer of the material is produced by heating a polymer material free from nitrile group in an aqueous solution containing (A) 0.01-5wt.% of a copper salt (e.g. cupric sulfate or cupric chloride), (B) a reducing sulfur compound (preferably sodium thiosulfate) in an amount equimolar to the component A, (C) 0.1-10wt.% (based on the component B) of a water-soluble basic salt of a >=12C nitrogen-containing organic compound (e.g. laurylamine hydrochloride) and (D) 0.5-2wt.% (based on the component A) of a water-soluble thiocyanate (e.g. ammonium thiocyanate) or by heating the polymer material in an aqueous solution containing the components A-C and then treating with an aqueous solution containing the component B.
