Title:
ELECTRICALLY COOLED SEMICONDUCTOR RADIATION DETECTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2739920
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provided a convenient, small-sized, portable radiation detector exhibiting an energy resolution substantially equivalent to that of conventional one without using liquid nitrogen.
CONSTITUTION: A Stirling electric cooler 1 is provided in order to cool a semiconductor radiation detecting element 7. In order to reduce microphonic noise caused by the electric cooler 1, the initial stage amplifier circuit 10a, the signal lines and the circuit wirings 11 of a signal preamplifier 10 are covered with dielectric porous fibers 12 and molded. The compression pump 2 for the electric cooler 1 is secured to a supporting base 15 through a vibration absorbing material 16 and a circuit for reducing noise at the input stage of a main signal amplifier 14 is additionally provided.
