Abstract:
To provide a return mechanism which is applied to an electrically-driven braking device and adopts a spiral spring, in which a fatigue strength of the spiral spring can be improved.SOLUTION: An electrically-driven braking device comprises: an electric motor which presses a friction member onto a rotary member which is rotated integrally with a wheel; and a return mechanism which generates a return torque to the electric motor in a direction in which the friction member is separated from the rotary member when electric conduction of the electric motor is not performed. The return mechanism includes: "a spiral spring having a restraining part which is formed in such a manner that one end portion thereof is engaged with a rotary shaft driven by the electric motor, and the other end portion thereof, which is positioned on a side opposite to one end, is folded"; and a housing which stores the spiral spring, and has an inhibition face which contacts the restraining part. The other end Ca is so configured as to be folded so as to approach an axis at a portion thereof which is sandwiched between an inner peripheral surface of a spiral spring SU and an outer peripheral surface of the spiral spring.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
