Title:
ELECTRICALLY-DRIVEN FLUID PUMP
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2000213498
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide an electrically-driven fluid pump which can lubricate and cool a bearing on the side of supporting an end of a rotor opposed to an impeller.

A housing has a suction port and a discharge port for cooling water. A rotor has one end holding an impeller and an outer periphery provided with a permanent magnet. A stator 9 is composed of a core having a plurality of projections 7a and a coil wound around the core. This electrically driven fluid pump suctions and discharges cooling water by rotating the rotor while controlling current carrying to the coil of the stator 9, and thereby rotating the impeller. A first bearing supports a portion between the impeller and the permanent magnet, while a second bearing supports the other end of the rotor. A communication hole is formed on the housing for communicating the cooling water between the impeller side and the permanent magnet side. A partition wall is arranged on an inner peripheral side of the stator 9 for regulating inflow of the cooling water from the rotor side to the stator side and circulating the cooling water in respect to the outer peripheral side of the permanent magnet.
