Title:
ELECTRICALLY HEATING DEVICE FOR VEHICLE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6033122
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make it possible to warm driver's hands gripping a steering wheel, by forming a plurality of branched blowing passages which are bent at a right angle at an end of a blowing passage communicated with a suction opening of a case, and providing electrically heating members in the branched blowing passages.

CONSTITUTION: A heating device is mounted on a lower surface of a steering column by bosses 115 and 125 of a case 1 with a suction grille 111 directed to a front side of a vehicle. When a feeding switch is closed, current is supplied to heaters 4a and 4b and a motor 3, and air inducted through the suction grille 111 by a blowing fan 2 is fed through a blowing passage A to branched blowing passages A1 and A2 whereby the air is equally divided at a right angle. The blowing air is rapidly heated by the heaters 4a and 4b, and is fed from blower openings 112a and 112b provided at both sides of the case 1 to driver's hands gripping a steering wheel. Thusly, it is possible to warm the driver's hands in a cold weather.
