To provide an electrically insulating resin composition capable of forming a coating excellent in wear resistance and thermal resistance while maintaining various properties such as mechanical property, thermal resistance, flexibility, and electrical insulating property of an enameled wire, and an enameled wire using the same.

This relates to an electrically insulating resin composition containing (A) polyester imide resin having isocyanurate ring in a molecule chain and (B) polycarbodiimide, and an enameled wire in which the electrically insulating resin composition is coated and baked on a conductor. It is preferable that the electrically insulated resin composition contains 1-10 pts.wt. of (B) polycarbodiimide per 100 pts.wt. of (A) polyester imide resin having isocyanurate ring in the chain.
