An electrification device 301 mounted on an image forming apparatus 100 comprises: a needle electrode 363 on which a plurality of saw teeth 53 are arranged; a saw tooth holding member 362 for holding the needle electrode 363; a cleaning belt 66 for coming into contact with and cleaning tip parts of the saw teeth 53; a cleaning member holding body 394 for holding the cleaning belt 66; and displacing means 303 for displacing the cleaning member holding body 394 in an arrangement direction of the saw teeth 53. In the electrification device 301, the cleaning belt 66 has a zeolite layer 661 formed on a surface opposed to the needle electrode 363.
