PURPOSE: To prevent defective electrification and the streaked line of an image caused by contaminative adhesive substance on an electrifying surface.
CONSTITUTION: An electrifying member 20 is fixed and arranged to be opposed to the surf ace of a photoreceptor drum 1. The member 20 is constituted of an electrode 22 and a resistor layer 21, and the electrifying surface 21a of the surface thereof is opposed to the surface of the drum 1 through a gap G. Electrifying voltage is impressed on the member 20 by a power source 23 so as to uniformly electrify the drum 1 through the surface 21a. When the contaminative sticking substance such as toner and paper powder is stuck to the surface 21a and absorbs moisture, the resistance of this part becomes low and the defective elecrification is caused. Then, a heater (heating member) 10 is internally provided in the member 20 and heats the surface 21a, so that the moisture of the contaminative sticking substance is evaporated and the defective elecrification is prevented.
