PURPOSE: To manufacture an electrifying roll for electroplating excellent in resistance to corrosion and wear, by using, as a stock, an Ni-Cr alloy in which specific percentages of C, Si, Mn, Cr, Mo, Al, Ti, and Fe are incorporated to Ni.
CONSTITUTION: The electrifying roll for electroplating is manufactured by applying, at least to the surface, an Ni-Cr alloy consisting of, by weight, ≤0.10% C, ≤2.0% Si, ≤2.0% Mn, >30W<40% Cr, 4W12% Mo, ≤3.0% Al, ≤3.0% Ti, ≤5.0% Fe, and the balance essentially Ni. Moreover, one or ≥two kinds among ≥3.0 Nb, ≥3.0% Ta, ≥3.0% W, and 3.0% V, or one or ≥two kinds among ≤0.05% Mg, ≤0.1% Zr, and ≤0.01% B, or either or both of ≤2.0% Cu and ≤5.0% Co may be contained in the balance Ni. By applying this alloy at least to the surface, the electrifying roll for electroplating excellent in resistance to corrosion and wear can be obtained.
