Abstract:

To materialize downsizing of an electro-hydrodynamic pump (EHD pump) and reduction in manufacturing cost, and to easily enhance and adjust pumping capacity, by means of a positive modification in constitution and disposition of a paired electrode unit constituting a major portion in the EHD pump.

There are disposed in a fluid channel inside an electric-hydrodynamic pump case with a pumping actuation fluid flowing therein; a rod-shaped paired electrode unit formed only of a rod-shaped paired electrode comprising a rod-shaped positive electrode and a rod-shaped negative electrode mutually faced in parallel with DC high voltage applied thereon; or a paired rod/mesh electrode unit constituted by disposing in tandem placement the paired rod-shaped electrode, and a paired mesh electrode comprising a planar mesh positive electrode and a planar mesh negative electrode mutually faced in parallel with DC high voltage applied thereon. Also, a plurality of paired electrode units are disposed in tandem placement or in parallel in the fluid channel along the flowing direction of the pumping actuation fluid.
