Title:
ELECTRO-MAGNETICALLY RELEASABLE BRAKE DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2003042202
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To attain large braking force by an electromagnet system of small dimension for braking of a linear or rotary motion, in an electro-magnetically releasable brake device.

This brake device has at least one brake shoe 10 pressed relating to a braking surface 13 by force of a brake spring 14. The electromagnet system has a coil 1 and an anchor 4, here when a current is allowed to flow in the coil 1, the anchor 4 is moved against force of the brake spring 14, as a result the brake shoe 10 can be detached from the braking surface 13 for releasing of a brake. Braking force of the brake spring 14 is transmitted to the brake shoe 10 from the anchor 4 through at least one mounted member 5 by oblique wedge surfaces 7, 8.
