To provide a manufacturing method for an electro-optic apparatus of a thin type capable of mounting a driving semiconductor chip on a terminal portion of an electro-optic panel with sufficient yield, to provide an electro-optic apparatus, and to provide an electronic device.
An organic EL apparatus 100 is provided with an organic EL panel 110 as an electro-optic panel having a pair of substrates, a driver IC 120 as a driving semiconductor chip which is mounted on a terminal portion 10a of at least one substrate 10 out of the pair of the substrates, and two sheets of protection films 41, 44 of which at least one is transparent. The organic EL panel 110 is sandwiched and sealed by the two sheets of protection films 41, 44, and an opening 42, from which the driver IC 120 is exposed, is installed in the protection film 41 covering the terminal portion 10a out of the two sheets of protection films 41, 44.
