Abstract:

To provide an electro-optical device and an electronic apparatus wherein an antistatic conductive film formed on an insulating substrate is surely kept at a fixed potential in a narrow space.

In the electro-optical device 100, in order to prevent insulating members (a lower polarizing plate 15b, a diffusing plate 26, a prism sheet 25, a prism sheet 24, a diffusing plate 23, and a light guide plate 6) disposed over a second surface 11b of an element substrate 11 from being electrostatically charged, an antistatic rear-side conductive film 19 is formed of all or almost all of the second surface 11b (the rear side of an insulating substrate 110) of the element substrate 11 and is kept at a ground potential (the fixed potential) through a conductive tape 28 stuck to the rear-side conductive film 19 along three sides of the insulating substrate 110.
