To provide an electro-optical device and electronic equipment displayable with homogeneous brightness and high in display quality.
A driving driver 11 is installed at the left side (Figure 1) of a liquid crystal panel 2, and LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) 12, 13, 14 are installed at right side (Figure 1) of the liquid crystal panel 2. That is, by installing the driving driver 11 and the LEDs 12, 13, 14 at separate sides, the LEDs 12, 13, 14 are enabled to be arranged at both the left side end part and the center part. By this, since sufficient light can be made incident also into the center part of a light guide body 3d, it never occurs that only both ends of the light guide body 3d become bright, and a display region 9 can be made bright uniformly.
