To provide a method for displaying images on an optical display having differential luminance decay pixels.
A method and system are applied on a light emitting diode display device for compensating the differential luminance decay pixels. After receiving video data input for displaying a video image frame including a plurality of pixels at a first frequency, one or more pixels are judged as the differential luminance decay pixels. Based on the information of the differential luminance decay pixels, a primary sub-frame is displayed. The primary sub-frame includes one or more differential luminance decay pixels and at least one display parameter of the differential luminance decay pixels has a decline value corresponding to an accumulative usage of the light emitting diode display device. Then, a secondary sub-frame is displayed and the corresponding display parameter of the differential luminance decay pixel in it has a value to compensate mutually with the decline value.
