To provide an electro-optical element, which prepares a plurality of surface emitting lasers different in wavelength on a substrate, and is easy to compact by enabling integration easily, and to provide an optical transmission module.
The element, which comprises: a semiconductor substrate 11; a first surface emitting laser VC1, formed in the semiconductor substrate 11, which emits a light of first wavelength; a second surface emitting laser VC2, formed in the semiconductor substrate 11, which emits a light of second wavelength; a dielectric mirror 19, a constituting component of resonator of the first surface emitting laser VC1; and a dielectric mirror 29, a constituting component of resonator of the second surface emitting laser VC2, is characterized in that an upper mirror of the first surface emitting laser VC1 and lower mirror of the second surface emitting laser VC2 have a common lamination structure each other.
