Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent the generation of crush deformation to a cut part at the time of cutting a rectangular pipe into specified length by a cutter press after manufacturing this rectangular pipe by rolling and electro-resistance-welding.
CONSTITUTION: An opening part 25 for relaxing the thrust stress of the cutter 20 of a cutter press 10 is previously formed at a rectangular pipe P. This opening part 25 is placed in such a way as not to intersect a part L subjected to electro-resistance-welding.
