Abstract:
PURPOSE:To easily obtain a good-quality and inexpensive electrocasting spool for a molding tool by forming an electrocasting layer on a matrix base body consisting of a conductive metal and having a prescribed shape, forming a powder matellurgical part to a prescribed shape on the outside periphery thereof, then detaching the above-mentioned matrix base body. CONSTITUTION:The conductive metallic material is formed to have the hollow hole shape of a molten resin inflow path of the spool for the molding tool on the outside shape thereof and the surface thereof is finished to a specular surface to form the matrix base body 1. The matrix base body 1 is supported by a suspension part 2 via a collar 3 coated with a nonconductive material and is set to a high-speed electrocasting device. The electrocasting layer 4 consisting of Ni-Co, etc., having a prescribed thickness is formed on the matrix base body 1 by an electrocasting method. The outside periphery of such base body as a core is compacted of powder metal such as iron to a prescribed shape and is sintered by heating to form the powder metallurgical part 5. The powder metallurgical part 5, etc., are thereafter subjected to finishing and finally the matrix base body 1 is detached, by which a spool body C for the molding tool having a hollow hole A is obtd.
