Abstract:

To solve the problem that since there is no good method of performing stable control by connecting a plurality of output units each having comparatively small capacitance to one and the same electrically conductive base material, the large-capacitance output unit is used or the electrically conductive base material is divided for control in order to impart an antifouling effect to the whole electrically conductive base material particularly when the electrically conductive base material has a large area.

In an electrochemical control method, when a power source having a plurality of output parts is connected to one and the same electrically conductive base material and electrochemically controlled, one output part selected optionally from the plurality of output parts is controlled so that a potential difference between the electrically conductive base material and a reference electrode becomes a predetermined value. Each of other output parts is controlled so that the ratio of the amperage to be supplied by each of other output parts to that to be supplied by one selected output part becomes a predetermined value. As a result, a stably controlled state can be continued since the plurality of output parts are not interfered with one another and the control is not diverged.
