Abstract:
To inhibit the scattering of Mn contained in an interconnector into a fuel chamber.SOLUTION: An electrochemical reaction unit includes: an electrochemical reaction single cell that includes an electrolyte layer containing a solid oxide, and an air electrode and a fuel electrode facing each other in a first direction with the electrolyte layer sandwiched therebetween; and a Mn-containing interconnector that is located on the opposite side of the air electrode in the first direction with respect to the fuel electrode and that defines a fuel chamber facing the fuel electrode. The fuel chamber has: a specific passage part located in a reaction area that is an area where the electrolyte layer, the air electrode and the fuel electrode are overlapped in a first directional view; and a non-reaction passage part located in a non-reaction area that is not included in the reaction area. The electrochemical reaction unit further includes a specific member that contains Si of a specific element and that is located on the upstream side of a flow of gas flowing in the fuel chamber with respect to the specific passage part in the non-reaction passage part, the specific member at least partially facing the fuel chamber.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
