Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable electrochemical cell which is resistant to heat and causes no crack on a side wall part even when a container thereof is reduced in size and in thickness.SOLUTION: There is provided an electrochemical cell 1 which is formed of: a recessed container 2 an inside of which is a housing portion 2a and which has insulation properties; a seal ring 3 joined on an upper end surface of the recessed container 2; and a lid part 4 joined on an upper surface of the seal ring 3 and closing the upper surface of the seal ring 3. In the electrochemical cell, the recessed container 2 comprises a rectangular plate-like bottom part 2b and a rectangular wall part 2c standing on an outer edge of the bottom part 2b, and a nonplanar part 14a is provided on an outer peripheral surface longer in a lateral direction of an outer peripheral surface of the bottom part 2b and/or the wall part 2c.
