Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrochromic device excellent in hue stability and response speed.SOLUTION: The electrochromic device includes: a pair of electrodes; and between the pair of electrodes an electrochromic medium including liquid containing electrochromic material. The electrochromic material is composed of at least one or more kinds of anodic electrochromic materials or at least one or more kinds of cathodic electrochromic materials. The pair of electrodes has a first electrode for reducing and oxidizing the electrochromic material, and a second electrode the specific surface area of which is larger than that of the first electrode.
