Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrochromic element that can generate in-plane changes in optical property.SOLUTION: An electrochromic element 1 comprises: a pair of substrates 10 and 11 arranged facing each other; a pair of translucent and conductive films 20 and 21 provided on principal surfaces 10a and 11a facing each other of the pair of substrates 10 and 11; an electrochromic layer 30 provided between the pair of translucent and conductive films 20 and 21; pattern wiring 40 provided on a principal surface 20a closer to the electrochromic layer 30, of at least one of the pair of translucent and conductive films 20 and 21; and an insulation layer 50 covering, of the surfaces of the pattern wiring 40, a top face 40a opposite to the principal surface 20a and a side face 40b along a direction intersecting with the principal surface 20a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
