To provide an electrode catheter capable of symmetrically positioning a catheter distal end in a state deflected in one direction and a catheter distal end in a state deflected in the other direction, with a catheter shaft used as an axis.

An electrode catheter includes a catheter shaft 10, a control handle 20, catheter distal ends 30, and a deflection mechanism of the catheter distal ends. The catheter distal end 30 has a proximal end-side area 301 extending from the tip end of the catheter shaft 10 in a distal direction; a body area 302 that extends on a same plane while forming a loop from the tip end of the proximal end-side area; and a distal end-side area 303 that extends in the distal direction from the tip end of the body area 302 towards a central axis P of the loop. The deflection mechanism of the catheter distal end can deflect the catheter distal end 30 in both directions by bending the distal end of the catheter shaft 10 in both directions perpendicular to the direction where the loop is positioned, with the axis thereof used as a center.
