To easily adjust a pressing force and to eliminate clogging due to chips in cutting by forming a rugged surface on the surface of an abutting part pressed with a chip part provided in one end of a bar shaped main body in a cutting part and openly providing one or more through holes, penetrating to the other surface of the main body, in the abutting part.
An electrode chip dressing cutter 20 is provided with a cutting part 22 dressing the electrode chip end part in the upper and lower end of a flat cylindrical main body 21 as a whole. The cutting part 22 is provided with the abutting part 24 pressed with the electrode chip end part, and plural through holes 25 penetrating to the other surface of the main body 21 are openly provided in the abutting part 24. The upper surface of the abutting part 24 is formed into a recessed surface wherein the electrode chip end part is fitted at the time of spot welding, and the lower surface is formed into a flat surface. Moreover, the surfaces of these respective abutting part 24 are formed into the rugged surface, and the deformation of the electrode chip end part is corrected and the deterioration of the welding quality is prevented with the rugged surface.
