To provide an electrode device for iontophoresis capable of strongly adhering a medicine introducing electrode layer to a medicine storage layer by a simple technique and capable of stably holding the medicine storage layer even for introducing the medicine.
A main electrode layer 3 and a sub-electrode layer 1 are fixed on a base material 6 in a mutually insulated manner. The main electrode layer 3 is used for introducing the medicine and the sub-electrode layer 1 is provided in order to hold the medicine storage layer 5 on the base material 6. The medicine storage layer 5 is arranged on the base material 6 in contact with the main electrode layer 3 and the sub-electrode layer 1 and comprises a halogen compound-containing gel while the sub-electrode layer 1 is constituted of a metal smaller than hydrogen in ionization tendency and a current is passed through the medicine storage layer 5 and the sub-electrode layer 1 to fix both layers. By this constitution, the medicine storage layer 5 can be firmly held on the base material 6 in the state being in contact with the main electrode layer 3.
