Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode which is easy in carriage and fitting, and easy in forming a desired effective electrode surface by connecting plural flat plate metallic base materials having an attachable/detachable connecting means in the longitudinal direction.
SOLUTION: At least one connection hole 2 is provided in one side end part in a short side direction of a metallic base material 1 which constitutes an electrode for electrolysis, and used for a screw hole. A male screw 3 is implanted on a back side of the other electrodes, and used for a connecting means with its root part fixed by spot welding. A folded part 5 is formed by folding a side end part in the longitudinal direction of the metallic base material 1 at right angles. No folded part is provided on a part on one end part side of the metallic base material 1. The male screw 3 is engaged with the connection hole 2, and a nut N is screwed in the male screw 3 or the welding is achieved for connection. Since no folded part 5 is present on one end part side, connection can be made without overlapping the folded part 5. Even when titanium or a titanium alloy is used for the metallic base material 1 as a flat sheet, it is not deflected by providing the folded part 5.
