CONSTITUTION: The following material is adopted for an anode side electrode coated on an outside periphery of a rotary drum wherein high silicon cast iron contg. Si exceeding 10wt% is used as the material and this high silicon cast iron is cast into a prescribed electrode shape and furthermore the mechanical work is performed to manufacture the electrode. As a result, the progress of the wastage due to the electrical conduction is small and the mechanical strength is large and the possibility of the secondary environmental pollution due to the elution of a heavy metallic iron is not caused and the molding work of the electrode is made easy in addition thereto. The electrode high in the durability wherein the electrical and mechanical characteristics required as an anode of the electroosmosis type dehydrator are sufficiently satisfied can be obtained.
