Title:
ELECTRODE FOR FUEL CELL AND ITS MANUFACTURE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH11167925
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
To enhance electrode characteristics and enhance the characteristics and performance of a fuel cell using this electrode by obtaining a uniform mixture when a solvent is removed from a mixed suspension of catalyst particles, an electrolyte, and a water repellent agent.
An electrode for a fuel cell consists of a catalyst layer obtained by evaporating and removing a solvent from a mixed suspension which contains catalyst particles, an electrolyte, and a water repellent agent. The solvent of the mixed suspension containing the catalyst particles, the electrolyte, and the water repellent agent is evaporated and removed under the temperature and pressure, such that the evaporation rate becomes about 8 cm3/min.
