Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode discrimination apparatus capable of discriminating between a positive and a negative electrode at a low cost with simple constitution.SOLUTION: An electrode discrimination apparatus 1 is configured to discriminate whether an electrode being conveyed is a positive electrode 10 with a separator which has a positive electrode tab 11a or a negative electrode 12 having a negative electrode tab 12a. The electrode discrimination apparatus 1 comprises: a conveyance section 2 which conveys the electrodes so that the positive electrode tab 11a flows on a first setting line L1 parallel to a conveyance direction D; a detection section which detects whether the electrode flows to a predetermined position X1 on the first setting line L1; and a discrimination section which discriminates whether the electrode is the positive electrode 10 with the separator or the negative electrode 12 based upon detection periods P1, P2 from start of the detection to end of the detection on the presence of the electrode at the predetermined position X1 acquired by the detection section, or whether an electrode is present at a prescribed time after detecting the presence of the electrode at the predetermined position X1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
