Abstract:

To provide an electrode lift control device of an arc furnace capable of identifying the phase in a short-circuit mode close to a scrap, lifting only an electrode of the phase, and preventing arc cutting with a simple configuration.

In an overload determination circuit 82, when any phase is determined to be overloaded by secondary current signals Iu, Iv and Iw, the phase in which the secondary voltage of the phase determined to be overloaded is not higher than the short-circuit mode detection voltage Est in a short-circuit mode phase detection circuit 83 is determined to be the short-circuit mode phase, and an electrode is rapidly lifted by a rapid lifting circuit 84. The phase in which the secondary voltage is higher than the short-circuit mode detection voltage Est is controlled by a regular electrode control circuit 85. Any arc cutting phenomenon caused by lifting the electrode of phases not related to the overload can be reduced thereby.
