Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode lifting device which can lower an electrode at a high speed without depending on any visual observation and without measuring a voltage and a current between the electrode and a scrap.SOLUTION: One embodiment comprises: a first lowering command circuit outputting a first lowering signal setting a speed at which an electrode is lowered until the electrode reaches a first position set beforehand with respect to a scrap based on a position signal detected by a position sensor; a second lowering command circuit outputting a second lowering signal setting a speed at which the electrode is lowered until the electrode reaches a second position set beforehand with respect to a through-hole from the first position based on image data of a leading end portion of the electrode and the through-hole of a furnace cover acquired by imaging means; and an electrode lifting drive device subjecting the electrode to lowering operation with respect to the scrap at lowering speeds individually set on the basis of the first lowering signal and the second lowering signal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
