Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode manufacturing apparatus capable of reducing the quantity of electrode intermediates to be discarded when a fault is generated, and a manufacturing method of an electrode.SOLUTION: An electrode manufacturing apparatus comprises: a first carrier device 44 that supports both ends of an electrode intermediate 30 in a width direction Y; and a pair of second carrier devices 50 disposed between the first carrier devices 44 in the width direction Y. The electrode manufacturing apparatus also comprises: a first space S1 for cutting that exists between each of the second carrier devices 50 and the first carrier device 44; a second space S2 for cutting which exists at a downstream side of each of the second carrier devices 50 in a carrying direction X; and a laser irradiation device for cutting an electrode out of the electrode intermediate 30. An irradiation range of a laser beam from the laser irradiation device is settled within a range of the first space S1 for cutting and the second space S2 for cutting.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
