Abstract:

To provide an electrode material drying device and an electrode material drying method capable of uniformly drying an electrode material coated on a collector.

The electrode material drying device 100 for heating and drying an electrode material 20 coated on the collector 10 constituting an electrode for a battery is provided with a conveying part 30 conveying the collector 10, a coating part 40 coating the electrode material 20 including a solvent on the collector 10 during conveyance, and a heating part 50 for heating the electrode material 20 of the collector 10 during conveyance by making a heat amount smaller as a heating capacity of the collector 10 or the electrode material 20 gets smaller. With this, even if a heat capacity of the collector 10 or the electrode material 20 is not uniform, a heat amount can be properly adjusted to enable to uniformly dry the electrode material 20 coated on the collector 10.
