Title:
ELECTRODE PLATE FOR SEPARATING HARMFUL METALS IN SLUDGE AND SEPARATOR USING THE ELECTRODE PLATE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3107187
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To produce an electrode plate capable of easily separating the harmful metals in sludge by covering the outer face of a magnet as a core with an iron material.
CONSTITUTION: A magnet 1a is used as a core plate, and an iron electrode 1b is provided on the front and rear to constitute an electrode plate 1. Many electrode plates 1 are arranged in an electrolytic cell 2, a current is applied to the electrode plate 1 from a power source 3, and sludge is supplied into the cell 2 from an inlet 5 and discharged from an outlet 6. Consequently, the generated ferrite is collected on an electrode (positive electrode), the contact frequency with the heavy metal ions in the sludge is increased, and the ferrite is grown on the electrode surface. Although the substances other than ferrite are also simultaneously deposited as scales, the scales are released by changing the polarity of the electrode plate 1 with a polarity changing device 4. The harmful metals such as heavy metals contained in the sludge are separated and removed in this way.
