Abstract:
To provide an electrode superior in rapid charging and cycle performance, a secondary battery including the electrode, a battery pack and a vehicle.SOLUTION: An electrode is provided according to an embodiment. The electrode comprises an active material-containing layer. The active material-containing layer contains an active material composite material. The active material composite material includes an active material and carbon particles. The active material includes primary particles. The carbon particles cover at least a part of the surface of the active material. An average particle diameter L1 of the active material primary particles and an average particle diameter L2 of primary particles of the carbon particles satisfy the following expression (1): L1/100≤L2≤L1/10 (1). The active material coverage by carbon particles is 80% or more. The coverage is a percentage of a mapping area that the carbon particles account for in a mapping area of the active material in a mapping image of a cross section of the active material-containing layer according to Raman spectroscopy.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
