Title:
ELECTRODE SENSOR FOR DETECTING STRESS-CORROSION CRACKING, AND STRESS-CORROSION CRACKING MONITOR APPARATUS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3854422
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensor and a monitor apparatus for detecting stress- corrosion cracking which can monitor a stress-corrosion cracking.
SOLUTION: The electrode sensor 10 is a cylindrical body with a semispherical leading end part, holding a working electrode 2 filled with a pressure medium 13 and a reference electrode 8 inside. The electrode sensor includes a holder 1 used for setting the sensor to an object to be monitored, a pressuring screw 4 for applying an optional pressure to the pressure medium 13 in the working electrode 2, and a detection port 6 for detecting the pressure of the pressure medium 13 in the working electrode 2. In the monitor apparatus, a pressure sensor is connected to the detection port 6 of the stress-corrosion cracking detection sensor 10, and a corrosion potential-measuring device is connected to the working electrode 2 and reference electrode 8, thereby, a potential oscillation specific to a stress-corrosion cracking is observed.
