Abstract:
To provide an electrode tip for arc welding of excellent dimensional accuracy and excellent formability.
A bar S is forged to join a pair of half-split tip members 1a and 1b having groove parts 4a and 4b of semi-circular section in the longitudinal direction formed therein so that the groove parts 4a and 4b face each other to form a truly circular wire passing hole 4. Uneven parts 4a and 4b for engagement may be formed in a joining surface of the half-split tip members 1a and 1b, and a wire supporting member 6 formed of different materials to enhance the wear resistance and/or conductivity may be enclosed in a tip part of the wire passing hole 4.
