To provide an electrodeless lamp retainer in which the temperature of a coldest spot projection part hardly rises and characteristics of light output are hardly impaired, and further, frequency of lamp exchange and maintenance can be made few, and to provide a lighting fixture.
The lighting fixture 1 is provided with an electrodeless lamp 2 which has a coldest spot projection part 27 at the top end tip and has a bulb of light-bulb shape filled with a discharge gas, an electrodeless lamp retainer 3 which has a reflector shade 32 and a translucent panel 33 forming a lamp housing part 30, and a lighting circuit 4. Furthermore, the translucent panel 33 is provided with a through-hole 34 in which the coldest spot projection part 27 of the electrodeless lamp 2 is inserted.
