Abstract:

To provide an electrodeposition coating method of a refrigerant compressor, capable of protecting a power supply connection terminal so as not to be coated and coating a terminal block during electrodeposition coating of a housing.

The electrodeposition coating method of the refrigerant compressor includes: a step of housing, inside a recessed part 118a of a protective cover 118, a plurality of power supply connection terminals 116 held by a terminal block 115 projected to the outside of the housing of the refrigerant compressor and projected to the outside from the terminal block 115, while exposing the terminal base 115; and a step of executing electrodeposition-coating to the housing and the terminal block 115. When housing the power supply connection terminals 116 inside the recessed part 118a of the protective cover 118, a gap between the terminal block 115 and an opening end of the recessed part 118a of the protective cover 118 is turned to 0.5-2.0 mm.
