Title:
ELECTRODEPOSITION THIN BLADE GRINDING WHEEL, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2002326166
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide an electrodeposition thin blade grinding wheel capable of requiring a smaller cutting margin, having a long service life to lower replacement frequency, and improving efficiency of cutting and grinding work.

This grinding wheel is provided with a metal base 12 of a disc form or a thin and long rectangular form, recessed parts 14 alternately formed from a circumferential edge part in both side surfaces to be opened in an end edge part, and a number of abrasive grains 16 fixed to the recessed part 14 to be protruded from a side surface and the end edge part 12a of the metal base 12. The abrasive grain 16 is a super-abrasive grain of diamond or CBN. The abrasive grain 16 has a grain size roughly similar to a plate thickness of the metal base 12.
