To provide an electrode with reduced contact resistance between a collector and an active material layer which is, especially, effective in a bipolar lithium-ion secondary battery, as well as, to provide a manufacturing method for the electrode.

The electrode is provided with the collector constituted of polymeric materials etc. including conductive polymer or a conductive filler, as well as, the active material layer formed on the collector and containing the active material and a binder. As the polymer of the collector and the binder in the electrode are both dissolved in a solvent, the electrode has the active material layer adhered on the surface of the collector.
