To change a gear shifting step of a shifting transmission in a vehicle having an electrodynamic drive system.

The electrodynamic drive system 2 provided between a drive machine 4 and the shifting transmission 16 in the vehicle comprises a planetary gear type transmission 12, a clutch joint 40, and a controller. The transmission 12 includes the three constituting elements of a sun gear 50, an internal gear 10 and a planetary gear carrier 32. The first element 3 is coupled to the transmission 16, the second element is coupled to the machine 4, and the third element is coupled to at least one electric machine 22. The joint 14 has a first switching position in which tight coupling of the carrier 32 to the gear 50 exists so as to detour the transmission 12 and a second switching position in which coupling of the carrier 31 to the ear 50 is interrupted. The transmission 16 further has a third switching position in which tight coupling of the gear 50 to a stationary housing part 14 exists.
