Title:
ELECTROLUMINESCENCE ELEMENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH05152072
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide an electroluminancence element having an organic three or two layer structure having a prolonged luminescent life with no crystallization of a hole carrier material, by using an oxadiazole group compound having a plurality of oxadiazole rings, for an organic hole carrier layer.

CONSTITUTION: An electrode 2 for hole-implantation, made of indium-tin oxide, an organic hole carrier layer 3 made of a oxadiazole compound, an organic luminescence layer made of quinolinole aluminum complex, and an electrode 2 for ion-implantation, formed a blend of Mg and Ag with a proportion of 10:1, are laminated in that order on a glass substrate 1. The oxadiazole compound has a structure indicated by formula I while the quinolinole aluminum complex has a structure indicated by formula II.
