To provide an organic EL display having sufficiently high resistance to water permeation, without mounting a drier sheet.
The front surface of an organic EL display is covered with a resin having incorporated drier. The resin is ultraviolet-setting. It is possible to harden the resin, by forming an opposed electrode of the organic EL display from a metal and irradiating ultraviolet ray in the rear surface by forming a protective substrate of the rear surface into transparent substrate. Also, since the ultraviolet ray is reflected by the opposed electrode, the hardening efficiency of the resin is high. Also, a switching element or luminescent layer in the low part of the opposed electrode can be protected from irradiation of ultraviolet ray.
