Title:
ELECTROLUMINESCENT ELEMENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH1079297
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide an electroluminescent element of which the electroluminescent efficiency as improved by the application of a conventional material, and which perform stabilized light emission for a long time to allow emitting a blue light with high luminance and excellent chromaticity.

In an organic electroluminescent element of a single heterostructure type in which ITO transparent electrode 5, a hole transfer layer 4, an electron transfer layer 2 and a metal electrode 1 are laminated one after another on a glass substrate 6, an exciton generation promoting layer 33 is interposed between the hole transfer layer 4 and the electron transfer layer 2, and the hole transfer layer 4 is formed of a hole transfer electroluminescence layer 4a or a hole implantation layer 7, and a hole transfer electroluminescence layer 4b. Accordingly, it is possible that to promote the exciton generation in the hole transfer electroluminescence layer 4a and 4b, and to effectively implant holes in the case of arranging the hole implantation layer 7.
