Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost electrolysis cleaning apparatus for circulating cooling water requiring no such troublesome cleaning work as to remove an electrode plate from an electrolysis cleaning tank in cleaning and removing scales in the electrolysis cleaning tank with minimum cost for maintenance and management, and to provide a negative electrode plate for the electrolysis cleaning apparatus and a production method of the negative electrode plate for the electrolysis cleaning apparatus.
SOLUTION: In the electrolysis cleaning apparatus for the cooling tower circulating cooling water for electrically removing scale components in the circulating cooling water, both positive and negative electrode plates are formed with titanium plates. The positive electrode plate is coated with a passive film of titanium oxide. The negative electrode plate has a surface wherein a number of hardly passive and highly conductive fine conductive regions are provided. The conductive regions comprise Ti alloy which is difficult to form the passive film. The titanium plate together with a counter electrode are immersed in the water containing metal ions, and the negative voltage is applied to the titanium plate, thus the negative electrode plate is produced.
